I'm overweight and out of shape.....I procrastinate those two areas, but I work hard at my primary and my 2nd job (REI) to meet my financial goals.I've spent my adult life believing one of the keys is "delayed gratification".

I am old enough to have been through two recessions and deflation of real estate as an adult (early 90's and 2007-2008) and in both of them, nothing came out of the other side but opportunity for those who were prepared to weather the storm, kept their credit good and did not "feast" on all the free loan money available.  

Other than that, getting distracted by females

The female patients and visitors ALL had better nails than this hard working nurse and they all had had more expensive cell phones.Knowing I was taking care of them, while paying for their manicures (and health care) with my taxes, really contributed to my burn out.   

A teacher and web designer that are greedy according to you is the same as all the doctors, male and female that i  support at a major university. 

I had kids young they are nearly adults now and even with college expenses they will be out of college by the time I'm where I want to be.

Being a female I also believe I personally was over-quoted on the prices I received from contractors when looking at potential rehabs this past year.

It's all related to the same, in-depth study of how people accumulate wealth, a project he carried on for decades and now continued by his daughter.There were certain parts of the book and the rest of Stanley's writing that just didn't apply to me at the time I read it: discussions of how owning a big, opulent primary residence screws you financially, why teaching your adult children to rely on you financially can be a natural inclination but a very bad idea, and one of the ideas that Stanley pounds home again and again -- wealth allows you to seize fleeting opportunities that others cannot take advantage of.

It's like the adult version of juice pouches that are nothing but liquid sugar in a metal pouch with a plastic straw wrapped in more plastic that always ends up on the floor and never, ever in the garbage can.
