basically they only have to self affirm they were affected,  and it doesn't give any minimum thresholds,   so if they paid money for a face mask they would not otherwise have purchased that probably qualifies.

Having a mortgage is another layer of protection.Your Insurance on each property is a layer.Having properties in individual LLC's ia a layer.Umbrella Plolicy is a layer.Attorneys are usually hired on a contingency basis so the more difficult it looks the more likely they will not take a case against you and go after low hanging fruit.Also take care of your tenants and properties and you will be unlikely to have an issue in the first place.I have a trust, that owns a master LLC, that owns individual LLC's that own one or 2 properties each.I don't have mortgages on my rentals either so I added these other layers of protection.

Advantage: Having multiple LLC's create a layer of protection between the LLC's.Disavantange: You will have to pay separate tax preparation and filing fees for each entity.
