You'll be able to keep them far longer without looking outdated than if you go with some current popular color.

Don't bother with battery powered tools (except for drill/impact set) as in a few years time you won't be able to replace your now-outdated batteries and chargers, whereas quality chorded tools will work fine for decades without having to worry.

If you have a large cash reserve, go up to market rent immediately (or a small percentage under if your unit is outdated).

I'd just say, so sorry it won't work out for you, let me know your move-out date.
