So everything in the house was new from windows, to curtains, curtain rods, appliances (a couple we never used) granite countertops, custom kitchen cabinets (beech wood - very hard wood)  fancy backsplash, doors, HIGH END custom trim, flooring the 33 cubic yards of concrete for patio/driveway etc.

My AC evaporator luckily has an access panel that is easily removed and then a service plug in the side panel of the coil (plastic disc wedged into sheet metal) that I was able to remove, liberally spray down the coil on the 'incoming air side' with cleaner bought from lowes, and carefully spray some water onto the coils from the easily accessible 'outgoing air' side to back rinse after waiting the recommended time.

Cast iron DWW  piping hooked together with Fernco couplings instead of the old oakum-and-lead connection system is still being used for custom housing today because it's much quieter than plastic drainage piping and it doesn't collapse in place and leave air gaps in the event of a house fire.

It's like the adult version of juice pouches that are nothing but liquid sugar in a metal pouch with a plastic straw wrapped in more plastic that always ends up on the floor and never, ever in the garbage can.

@Paul Ewing The stuff they sell at HD and Lowes in a plastic bottle, that is then wrapped in a ziplock type bag screaming death on it works well also.
