However, I could see how some people who aren't as self motivated, could join and then sit around for months without a clue of what to do as nobody is there to spoon feed it to you or demand your presence at a given time.

I'll also state based on what you just posted that if the bank finds you "making a relationship" with their asset manager, they'd probably find a new asset manager and historically, based on my 25 years, an asset manager isn't going to jeopardize being spoon fed massive amounts of business just to appease one investor that doesn't want to wait like the rest of the market does.  ...and I have no problem sitting on the sidelines watching that unfold.

my 2 sense however - you can find all the sellers/motivated sellers in the world but if you don't have the first clue of HOW to speak to them, what to say, what to ask, and how "it" works - you'll get pretty close to NO WHERE.yes, you do learn THE BEST, HANDS DOWN, from actually doing and there is NO course and NO book that can spoon feed you to success.
