Remove the "complicated drain" and let them use a rubber stopper, no programable thermostats, no fancy ceiling fans with remotes/wifi, no fridges with water/icemakers, etc.

I like that people aren't stupid enough to take a saw to it to try and fit their brand new oversized fridge....I like that it can't be burned when someone puts a a pan with the flaming remains of the thanksgiving turkey on it...I like that it doesn't soak up stains when the kids spill koolaid on it.Lol.

Its the stove the city cracks down on, as you can work around this by installing a wet bar which can include a sink and fridge,does not include a stove, built-in microwave, dishwasher, a garbage disposal, or a gas line.With the second kitchen your house would act more like a duplex with two units rather than a house with roommates, in practice the pwnership experience is pretty different when you have a separate entrance and separate dwelling units.
