unfortunately its part of the business.On the bright side they didn't steal your copper.Cameras, security systems,motion lights,good repore with neighbors are all ways these things can be reduced.Is the risk of a break in enough to warrant the cost associated with all of the above?

As a person who specializes in Security of all types, let me tell you of the magic of a 35 dollar uniform purchase online of a USPS or UPS outfit, and a 125 dollar RFID reader.They immediately unlock most low end "smart keys", especially since they broadcast their unlock sequence unencrypted, and even the ones that are "encrypted" are only aes 128 usually by default.

I'd love the ability to stick a thermostat on the wall that is somewhat "standard" but at least has a motion sensor built in, so 1-2 hours after a guest leaves the room, the darn thing resets the temperature to something higher than they'd have it at (in the summer).

Its really a vicious cycle.. the newbie uniformed investor buys a hood property for cheap basically loses their entire investment .. sells the to the local wholesaler who sells to the local rehabber .. then they resell to out of area or uneducasted buyers and the cycle repeats.
