Jon - Krav Maga is great.I still enjoy the martial arts but I have always leaned toward practical self defense aspects versus tournament sparring.I put more value in not being dead on the streets versus point sparring and getting a trophy.

One of my son's plays basketball and we seem to have a couple tournaments a year there.

My wife had a soccer tournament so I was bored today or I would not even be reading this stuff.   

We liked the TL home and nice lakefront view but here are some cons: pretty far/isolated, no real dining options outside and besides the music festivals/BNP tournament, didn't know if it would do well as a STR. 

That is a great bio with some amazing accomplishments (looks like you did great in DI and even made it to NCAA tournament and did well on the national level in Greco, too)...No doubt you will have the drive and will power in any area...

We get a ton of vacation traffic, and the PGA Tour recently announced a new tournament to be played in Myrtle Beach starting next year. 

They are people who have planned trips like family reunions, church events, baseball tournaments, etc.
