Their plan is to offer units at below-market rates to help combat the housing crisis happening, which is something I actually thought about several months ago, so we're going to chat with them soon, offer our help on the home, maybe ask to rent it out, and chat about their goals with their housing venture.

Some ways to combat that variance are by 1) doing a detailed screening on every potential occupant of the unit, 2) having a comprehensive lease that spells out those things that you consider important, 3) taking time to thoroughly walk the tenant through your unit showing and explaining to them how to operate everything, 4) letting them know in no uncertain terms what you will and will not tolerate, and 5) tell them to call you first if they have any questions about the unit.

The laws are different here, I know that if a seller fraudulently misrepresents something, you can go after them, but poorly fixing something might be harder to argue.If you were the seller, would you have spent $1275 to fix the roof, or would you have done the minimum for it to stop leaking?

Fraudulent conveyance...If that were the case though it would be a disadvantage to banks, since the only people buying upside down deals are those who were duped into doing it.
