It is very thick and durable, being nearly commercial grade.In renting houses, it may actually be more preferable to tile the kitchen and bathrooms, and put a good wood laminate for the remaining rooms, including the bedrooms.

I think you also have to be someone with pretty thick skin to deal with longer-term tenants.

Once upon a time I knocked out the 1/2” of blocking on the bottom and ripped a 2x4 to correct thickness to idiot proof a set.

This is super important because if you miss on point #1 above, you still have a "buffer" to insulate you to some degree from short term market fluctuations.3)I ALWAYS make sure financially I can easily afford to hold the property through thick and thin.
