I enjoy studying the successful people I admire by reading their biographies and autobiographies.

I admire your energy and zeal and hesitate to be a nay-sayer but please keep a dose of reason in your plans.

Coastline, 4 seasons, just the right amount of rain, mountains for days mmmmmmm *it just smells of freedom* (ok, I'm probably describing NH more than I am all of NE, but that's because of my admiration for the state, lol. 

@Ben Kirchner, Although the effort to prepare your own taxes is admirable, you have to admit that if preparing a return which now has two investment properties makes you feel uncomfortable, may be it is the time to have a professional do it for you. 

While the 1000 post count is admirable, the greater achievement is the high vote to post ratio.

Helping a friend out is admirable and I might be inclined for a short and pre described amount of time.
