I will be paying the lodging taxes from the property management company.  

They would have had trouble in our city finding accommodations for their family that were nearly as comfortable, since we don't have timeshares or many suite-style lodgings in this area.  

Looks like Denver wants their 10% lodging tax.

To rent a plane ticket, rent a hotel, food and lodging you might as well get an attorney and put the money there.

When a vacationer has a choice of ski lodge condo (right next to the slopes), casino hotel, motel, or house, they often choose the former before the latter.  

One of us had a career change after purchasing, so we haven't rented out any guest rooms since 2009, but we do live in the main lodge section every summer for the past two years.

We also want to build a respite lodge for Pastors and their families.  

If I have the choice of staying at Animal Kingdom Lodge or the Grand Floridian vs a vacation rental I'm going to take the resort every time.

I have run the numbers on a beautiful piece of land and cost of building lodging.

Poor snow conditions at Mammoth are likely superior to average conditions in the So Cal Mtns but it sure is nice to be able to do a day trip to go skiing in the local mtns (but they are not comparable, if you have the time and money go to Mammoth).However, when I have gone to Mammoth in the Summer, I find it easy to get lodging on short notice at a fraction of the price (versus my beach STRs are virtually always booked at least a month ahead even in the off season but also a reduced price).
