Recieved letter today from landlord saying I owe a 250 late charge, and 18% interest after today for not paying my rent to them, saying its in breach of the lease.I spoke with them 8-12-2014 about infestation of mold below us in their property, and specialist that had said it needs to be cleaned and our heating and air ducts need to be looked at by a professional before it spreads itself into our business above this basement.Nothing was done by 9-1-2014 , So i put the money for rent into escrow and wrote a certified letter stating it was in escrow (Showing the rents availability) until the basement was proven safe for us upstairs.

What do you do with a house that has tons of mice running around? Do you follow any specific "mediation" practices?

I understand the mice will leave after the home is gutted but I'm loo...

I didn't come from much: I grew up in gang and drug infested south central Los Angeles in the 80's. 

Curtains or blinds I would replace.All this is easier and less time consuming than dealing with a flea infestation.

It smelled terrible, and was infested with spiders and cockroaches.

Just put a bid in on a termite infested foreclosure.

First thing that stands out (to me) about this situation is that the infestation is on the top floors, not on the first floor or basement. 

Said there were bug infestations and squirrels nesting in the walls.
