Larger orders are submitted by may partner or myself.I spent years working in an industry - custom software development - where common practice was to secure 10 - 20% of the contract amount up-front, but you were also subject to a 10 - 20% hold-back at the other end with milestone billing in-between.However, the parallels are not really there.

Once you're clear on that, I would make a 5 year vision, and then you can start writing down SMART (specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, time-bound) goals as milestones to help you get to that vision.
