Last year I lost a kidney due to a massive infection which left me hospitalized for nearly a week.

The complaint that people have is there's TOO MUCH information and not enough time for breaks (in fact, I completely forgot about putting in "kidney breaks" in the morning of the first day!)

It's the Hippocratic OathThe Hippocratic Oath doesn't state that if a patient is going to die if they don't get a kidney transplant that the doctor is required to give them a transplant if they can't afford it.Unfortunately, plenty of people die every year because they can't afford emergency health care...in spite of the Hippocratic Oath...Though I do agree with you that we're more talking about preventative care when discussing reform...

Lee I got a variation of your surgeon joke went like this: Medical ConferenceAn Israeli doctor said to a medical conference, "Medicine in my country is so advanced, we can take a kidney out of one person, put it into another and have him looking for work in six weeks!"

It was like giving him a kidney. 

I love my parents very much but I woukd rather live in my truck than move back home but I am a bit older also ..I stayed with them     ( in Michigan ) last year for almost a month, when my mother had to have a kidney removed because of cancer ( she is doing very well now ) and it felt great to be able to help them but, I really missed my home here in Florida..anyway ..

My parents have been through many problems in the past several years - from a kidney transplant, to heart attack, and more, my folks have always paid their rent on time, but their other bills have suffered.  

If I could find a TRUE cash flowing property in my market that cash flows $200/month after all expenses and reserves I would sell my car, wedding ring, cash in my children's 529s, sell one of my kidneys and buy everything I could.
