Watch what happens when water pipes FREEZE and bust!
Well, I've been snowed in my house here in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia for 4 days. We got 8-10 inches of snow and the entire city including schools, courts, city gov't, and businesses have been closed for days. We simply don't have the man-power or the equipment to move the snow plus the temperature hasn't risen above freezing since the blizzard last week.
My article today is to show you the devastation that can happen to us when we have a vacant house in the winter. Even during the bad weather, we still have to manage our assets, because nobody cares about our houses more than us. Well, I went into a house during another cold spell and as I was walking up to the door, I heard water running. Check out the video to see what I saw.
As you can see, this home was completely destroyed. I hope this video will help you to remember to TURN YOUR WATER OFF during very cold weather when you have a vacant house. This house was completely renovated, and now has to be renovated for the 2nd time. Talk about a mess. Let's talk soon and remember nobody cares more about you than YOU!
