Mobile Home Repair Checklist


We start all of our work on the outside so the home is water tight.

Occasionally we will start on the inside especially if its cold or if they are just needing something to get started on but most of the time we will start on the outside 


Outside Work

1-seal the roof if needed(no rust allowed)
2-seal the windows if showing signs of leaking
3-repair or replace skirting as needed(no holes allowed)
4-repair or replace the decks 
5-repair or replace guttering(no holes allowed)
6-repair or replace outside windows, this includes outside screens
7-paint the outside of home if needed or required by the park owners 
8-replace shutters as needed
9-paint and repair storage buildings where required by the park owner
10-remove or cutting down brush trees or vines 
11-repair or replace walkways as needed
12-remove or repair carports if required by the park
13-clean up all the trash out of the yard
14-check power pole in yard to make sure its ok, if bad contact the park owner/manager to have it replaced  

Inside Work
1-remove all the trash out of the home 
2-check HVAC unit, if not coming on contact repair person 
3-check all plumbing in the home for leaks, under vanities, toilets, showers and tubs, water heater.
4-check all the electric in the home, light switches, receptacle, if tools won't stay plugged in then the receptacle  needs to be replaced, also check the outdoor lights 
5-check all vanities, toilets, tubs and showers to see if they need to be replaced 
6-demo all bad floors in the home and install new subfloors 
7-demo damaged sheetrock and install new sheetrock
8-demo cabinets as needed if damaged beyond repair
9-demo tubs, vanities,toilets and sinks if needed 
10-if we are installing carpet in certain areas of the home this is when you need to contact the carpet people to measure
11-repair or replace all the trim as needed in the home
12-repair wall studs as needed on bad walls 
12A-repair or replace all doors as needed, be sure there is enough room under doors for new flooring
13-install new cabinets if needed or repair damaged ones
14-install all fixtures on tubs, vanities and cabinets where needed 
15-paint the entire inside of home as needed
16-replace all light fixtures as needed
17-replace all cover plates as needed
18-install all new door hardware
19-install luan in all baths, kitchen and laundry areas
20-install all finished flooring 
21-install all carpeting 
22-install all new appliances
