Looking for recommendations for liability insurance agent for NYC
My State Farm personal umbrella liability insurance is lapsing b/c I now have 5 rentals and the maximum is 4. Rentals are owned personally, not as part of an LLC. They are financed at a nice rate, so I don't want to put them in an LLC and lose that financing. But I also don't want to forego liability insurance. So I need to find a personal liability insurance carrier that will cover my 5 rentals (and more as I am looking to continue to buy), plus my residence. Any recomendations for an independent agent in NYC? I got 2 quotes for an RLI umbrella but the max is 5 rentals on that so I'll do it if I can't find anything else, but ideally I'd rather go with a policy that will grow with my holdings. Thanks!

I have a great guy who I've worked with named Jason Hall. What he's done best for my properties and for my clients as well is match the insurance provider who specializes in each property to save them money. When you go with a provider like Allstate or Geico you're going to one stop shop and they may not be best at providing coverage for duplex or a six unit and hence you'll overpay for coverage with them. Jason was able to get policies based upon each individual property to get the best coverage at the lowest rate possible and that was smart. Let me know if you'd like his info.
