Assignment of contracts in Maine

Hello BiggerPockets fans

Has anyone had experiences with any possible concerns or gotchas related to assigning contracts in the state of Maine? On a couple of occasions agents have mentioned that wholesaling is illegal, but it seems the consensus is that it's totally legitimate. Is there some requirement or protocol when performing an assignment?

Thanks for any insight or input!

19. HEIRS/ASSIGNS: This Agreement shall extend to and be obligatory upon heirs, personal representatives, successors, and assigns of the Seller and the assigns of the Buyer.
