Getting Started in the World of Wholesaling

Hi all,

I want to first begin by introducing myself. I'm currently 19 but turn 20 on the 26th. I'm currently a full time student attending the University of Oregon studying Public Relations with a minor in Entrepreneurship. As far as who I am, I'm very high energy; I like to get things done. I was the spirit representative for three consecutive years in high school, the captain of the wrestling team, spoke at graduation, and I've re-founded a fraternity of which I am currently serving as the VP of Recruitment for the second year in a row. Recently I found myself obsessing over how to get started in real estate investing - whether it be reading books, watching videos, reaching out to my local REIA, or networking/connecting with people in the industry, I have been incredibly eager to hit the ground running and even have plans to get my real estate license this summer. However, there are a few things that are holding me back from taking those first steps into the world of real estate investing.

The first is my lack of capital; I have next to nothing. The second is my lack of knowledge, and there, too, I have next to nothing. Despite my best efforts to educate myself, there is only so much knowledge to be gained without actually going out and just doing it

Enter Wholesaling.

To me, wholesaling seems the perfect route to get started in real estate investing for someone in my position. As far as my lack of capital, wholesaling wouldn't require any money down, so that obstacle could be shelved for now leaving only the issue of knowledge.

Enter you.

I sit here now, writing to who knows how many people in the hopes that someone may just take the time to help get me on my way to my first wholesale deal. What first steps should I take? What are some real action items I can put on my agenda? Let me know! I'm also looking to start making more connections, so please feel free to send me a message.

Thank you to those of you who took the time to read my post, you are appreciated!
