Should I get Real Estate License to Wholesale?

I'm new to REI and have decided that starting off with wholesaling is the best option for me. I'm currently in the process of finishing off the pre-licensing real estate course in order to become a licensed real estate agent. But what are really the advantages of being a licensed real estate agent and wholesaling? Is it worth it?
