Bandit signs.... where to start?

Hey fellow BP members! I'm getting started wholesaling here in San Antonio. I thought I had found a mentor but things haven't worked out well and I'm basically on my own. I want to make things happen and I don't have a lot of capital to begin with. I'm debating on using bandit signs. I know they have a negative stigma and I understand and respect that argument. My question is how do I get a permit or permission to use them? I see them all over the place and I haev a pretty good idea of where to put them. I won't be putting them in the middle/upper class areas where they would be taken down immiediately even if they have that city sticker on them. I would be putting them mainly in the lower middle class neighborhoods since that is where distressed homeowners usually are. I was just wondering what anyone's experience with them is and if it is even worth getting the permit? When using them what is the best slogan or thing to write on them?

@Michael Guzik Wouldn't solely rely on bandit signs as your main marketing method. Most times, the calls are people who are just curious about what you do. Or even worse, people who want to sell you their services. Found it to be somewhat of a time waster in the past. You may want to scout out an area and start farming neighborhoods. Personally, I've had more luck using this method over anything else. Good luck!
