Illinois in shambles

With Illinois in a total nose dive and many people wanting to flee to other states, is this a good or bad thing for wholesaling? I see a good side because everyone is trying to sell and will take anything to get out from under their mortgage. But then bad because nobody is trying to buy. what say you?

The state is in rough shape financially, but I personally am not seeing people "fleeing" the state. Maybe they are in some of the far flung areas, but Chicago is still the Midwest's biggest market. In the near west Chicago suburbs where I live,  things really don't look as dour as the media is portraying them. There are a lot of solid buy and hold deals as well as rehab opportunities here.
