Wholesaling houses from the dead...

Hey BP,

I was driving for dollars in Indianapolis last week and I happened upon this beautiful property that had boards on the front and back doors.  It is in such a great neighborhood and I really want to get it under contract for one of my buyers!

Luckily while I was at the property the neighbors pulled up.  They told me this story about the house getting raided by the police a year or so ago, and they said it's been vacant since...

So I look up the property card and it is still in his name!  I thought for sure it would be owned by a bank, but he must be making his mortgage payments even though he's in jail, right?

Wrong.  He's dead!  and the property still hasn't been transferred out of his name in over a year!  The only information I could find on him was his Facebook page where I could have easily contact his whole family, but I thought that to be rather insensitive.

What do you guys think?  Will this property just have to sit in Limbo forever?  Since it was raided, might the authorities have some interest in it still?  Who should I contact?

Thank you guys in advanced for your input!
