How do people connect with wholesalers?

I see a lot of posts where people are looking for a wholesaler in a certain area, but are there better ways of connecting the buyers and wholesalers? I was just wondering how investors look for legit wholesalers.

Wholesalers: If you can find real deals in an attractive market, there are cash buyers that will buy every one you can find. Rather than try to grow a large pool of buyers and get them to compete with one another for every deal, you're better off forming relationships where you make less per deal but consistently bring good deals to 1 or 2 serious cash buyers. If you create too much competition, the "winners" of your deals will be financial "losers" and ultimately you lose when no one wants to even look at your deals anymore.
