House hacking Zillow

Posted

Best things to know going into house hacking for the first time? Looking for some guidance. I have been looking on Zillow and I see a bunch of cheap properties but they all seem to be in bad areas. I feel stuck

@Anthony DelVecchio Stop looking on Zillow.

Look for opportunities in other places. Go to garage sales and ask if the house is for sale. Drive for dollars. Look for dumpsters. Send some letters to distressed property owners. Talk to your friends and family and tell them you're planning to house hack. Somebody may know someone that knows someone looking to sell. Solve a problem faster than someone else could. Connect with them before a RE agent does.
