Home under contract!!!! West Palm Beach - Northwood

Jason M.
Posted

Yesterday, the seller countered my offer of 20k off the asking price with only 10k off and kept the contingency for the home inspection, 10 days, and home appraisal. I obviously accepted and scheduled the home inspection.  BIG difference compared to last year

My question is how and when should I try to negotiate the seller paying for a point at closing???

@Jason M.

You can negotiate at anytime while under contract. However, during the inspection period makes the most sense and you can bring up items on the inspection to warrant it the additional seller concessions.

Wording it in away to ask for a point may not be the best idea. Possibly just asking for concessions (equal to a point) could go over easier with the seller.
