Outside of West Oakland, what areas would you say are likely to go up in value over time - what pockets/neighborhoods are you looking at? I am considering purchasing in Lower Dimond and any of the directly adjacent neighborhoods. What's been your experience/outlook?

Piedmont, Dimond District, and Redwood Heights are my picks. Oakland in general is seeing a correction in the past year, likely to continue into this year. Oakland has some ambitious plans to improve the city, and as rate improves, I firmly believe certain parts of Oakland will recover faster than others. My prediction is that it will slowly stabilize for 2025 and 2026, and climb again in 2027 🤞🤞🤞

@Carolyn McBride what's your opinion on the Foothill and nearby neighborhoods (close to Fruitvale Ave)? I haven't been to that neighborhood for a while and have heard mixed reviews.
