@Ryan Sajdera I have used it a couple of times before to hire assistants, but not for rental stuff. I have a social media posting business as well, so I have hired for that in the past, as well as help with posting to my blog for a former business. (I would write the posts, the assistant would design the image to go with it and post it and format, etc.)

Honestly, it is very hit or miss. I tried to go cheap but the cheap assistants really didn't do that good of a job. I remember one didn't follow directions and I had to redo everything and another just flaked. I did have a good one for quite a while, but I feel that when she got too comfortable she started making more mistakes and it didn't work out.

But - I don't think this is necessarily an UpWork problem - more of a compatibility/person problem. I think it is very possible to find reliable people on there, but just like hiring someone in-person, it can be hit or miss.
