Myers Briggs personality test, renter background check

Dylan Cutkomp
Posted

I’ve recently had an idea about having potential renters taking the Myers Briggs personality test as part of there background check. Is this something that is legal, if so does anyone do this, or is it helpful?

Not sure if this would be considered “discriminatory”  or not if I didn’t select a person based on a test.

From a legal standpoint, I don't think this would be a good idea for most rental situations. From a Myers Briggs personality test standpoint, I know people don't like to hear this, but there's a lot out there that debunks this test. Overall, it's not a very legitimate predictor of someone's personality.
