Property managers, what is the biggest challenge you are facing in your day to day?

Dear BiggerPockets community, 

My name is Dominik and I’m a software developer in my free time. Besides this, rather boring, pastime of writing code, I also happen to be extremely passionate about real estate, more specifically multifamily and I decided to launch a new project to develop an MVP of software solution that is tailored to the needs of property managers. I’m writing this post to learn from the more experienced members here about the issues and challenges you are facing in your day-to-day to ensure that they can be addressed.

• - What are the biggest challenges you encounter in property management?
• - What tool, if any, do you currently use that you find lacking in important features or that is difficult to work with?
• - Which features or tools would make your day-to-day tasks more manageable and efficient or save (or make) you more money in the long run?
• - How do you currently handle tasks like maintenance requests, rent collection, and tenant communications?
• - If you could prioritize the top three features in a new property management software, what would they be?

As you can imagine, building a working software is no easy feat as there are a lot of moving parts to be considered, especially when it comes to functionality and features. Your feedback will directly influence the development of this software as it helps me focus on the aspects that matter the most.
