Can someone assist with the rental permit in Philadelphia as this is the first time applying (used to be a house hack I did not apply for the permit). Any guidance would be fantastic!

@Nicholas D'Andrea  some of the info you have been provided here is not correct. No one is going to be coming to inspect your property to grant a rental license in Philly. There are several steps you must take prior to the actual rental license application like getting a Philly tax ID and a commercial license which is free. You also need to do a lead test.  You may want to join us at Philadelphia Landlords Connect on FB where these kinds of topics are discussed.  Make sure you do things right and get help of advisers, lawyers or property management. If you do not have correct paperwork in Philly, it can be a significant problem down the road -- like needing to refund rent . . . It can be intimidating at first because there are multiple requirements that many other regions just do not have and it is not logical. But you can do it :-) Feel free to reach out!
