I have a multiple part question about a cold call list I just got.
This list has up to 20 phone numbers per person. It tells me the caller ID name, weather or not the phone is still in service, and if it is on the do not call list.
1) Do you just call of of those phone numbers until one works? Do you call them all in one Day?
2) How do you organize this much data in an easy to read way where you can edit good or bad numbers you try?
3) I have a small list and I am going to call each individual manually and personally. Is it 100% unlawful to call anyone on the DNC list without consent? If I am doing the calling is it not that big of a deal? I know you can't blast text people but you can send personal texts to anyone. Is it similar?
Typicaly the phone numbers provided from skip tracing are listed in order from most likely number to least likely. Some will often times be relatives. Call the numbers in the lsit from top down and you are likely to find the owner or a relative from the first couple of numbers.
Easiest way to do this is using a dialer such as Mojo, but I wouldn't import 20 numbers for each record. I've actually never seen a list come back with that many possible numbers.
It is illegal to call numbers on the DNC list. Do do at your own risk. It does not matter who is doing the calling. Texting falls under the TCPA just as calling does. Again, do so at your own risk.
I'm not saying ignore DNC, you have to make that choice yourself per business needs. Wrong numbers happen all the time its actually NOT an issue in reality.
Calling so many numbres is why folks use mojodialer.com to help speed the process.
Cold call to scrub your list and before hanging up, say "is it ok if I contact you in 3 weeks or so to see if you've sold your house? Is this your cell phone number?" Now you hvae permissoin to SMS. manually SMS or google bulk SMS systems or in time step up to a full on marketing platform. This is another whole challenge but near term with <500 leads you can use mojodialer or manual dial. At some point folks throw in the towel and just cold SMS (yes has the DNC/pissing off folks potential) its all in how you word the SMS.
You aren't trying to solicit donations to some fund, sell some gizmo you are trying to buy a house. Not the same reason why the DNC list came about. Folks don't mad (much) when its a wrong number; "Hey sorry to bother you I'm looking for the owner of 123 Main st I'm wanting to buy this house? Would you be the owner?" Both your manual voice call or SMS could be such verbage.
