Contacting Potential Leads?

Hi BP!

So I was online just scrolling through websites when I came across this site where somebody said they can get you a list of potential motivated sellers. They said the list includes Names, Addresses, Phone Numbers, and Emails.

My question, is it not weird for the "potential motivated seller" to receive a random call, or email from somebody that wants to buy their house? I mean, I understand direct mail postcards but if you call them, don't they ask how you got their number? Or even worse an email? How would you explain that to them?

Just curious if anybody has ever called or emailed a potential lead and what the response was like.

I do a combination of things to obtain leads and convert them. I use a multi-pronged, layered approach that combines several different things. I suggest starting with one strategy and sticking with it until you've mastered it, then begin to layer in other strategies one by one as you master each one.
