Using SEO for Lead Generation????

Hello All,

Has anyone had success with using SEO to land motivated seller leads?  If so......

-did you set it up yourself or outsource it?

-If outsourced, who did you use?

-what were your best key search words?

-did you use Google Analytics?

I run an SEO consultancy, so I may be able to offer some advice.

- Keywords vary by location. Not only for the obvious geo modifiers (like city/town names), but some areas may use different terms altogether. For example someone "how to sell my house in Los Angeles" may get 100 searches/month, but "home buyers in Los Angeles" may only get 10 searches/month, whereas it could be swapped in a different area/region. It all depends on what the keyword research yields.

- I use a plethora of online tools. My main tools are Ahrefs, CognitiveSEO, Semrush, Google Search Console, and Majestic. It depends on what phase of SEO I'm on.

- @Jim Pellerin is correct on time. SEO does take time. I've gotten results for my clients in as little as 1.5 months, but not much earlier than that. I'd agree that 3-6 months is a good average.

- SEO might seem like a slower approach than targeted ads, but the best part about SEO is that after you've got an established website and become a local authority, you've got a well-oiled machine that should help provide leads whenever someone searches the keywords you've optimized for.

- I recommend outsourcing SEO to people in the same time-zone (communication is very difficult/slow when outsourcing to countries that are waking up as you go to sleep) as you and to those who can speak the language you're going to want to optimize your website for fluently.

I did. I used the content package that comes with onCarrot websites. They also have a very good tutorial that you can follow. Keep in mind SEO takes time. 3 to 6 months.

Well.. if you are good at it.

Look what I woke up to this morning!

Literally, just a few moments ago.

And guess what... It is JUST 8 AM here and I already got a bunch of leads. The friggin day has not even begun yet!!!  ohh look at that.. I got a lead in while I was on the poopiethrone!

This happens EVERY day, day in day out.

How long did you test? I'm assuming you tried multiple versions of headlines, copy, creative. I usually have to spend a minimum of $1k to $2k to find the right combo. Your target audience is key.

FB Ads work. The trick is you have to play with all the variables until it does.

1. The audience

2. The headline

3. The copy (the actual ad)

4. The creative (image / video)

5. The URL name

6. The offer / lead magnet

7. The landing page (use onCarrot)

Then you can run a series of emails to build a relationship with the.

I have gotten calls months after i made my first contact. Sellers get more motivated with time.

@Jim Pellerin I tried FB adds and did not have any success.  I played with trying to target the right demos but had no luck!

Yes. I was focused on lease options so i was also looking for tenant buyers when using their websites. I got most of my motivated sellers from online classifieds and online FSBO sites.

If you really want to get leads fast run FB ads to your site.
