Driving for Dollars Letter

Does anyone have a good letter which they use for direct mail marketing?  I drove around my target neighborhood and recorded all of the addresses and now need to start making contact.

I have better luck researching the owner and finding a good phone number. People don't expect a call but you are more likely to get them to talk to you if you call versus sending a letter. 

Anyone can do letter, calling puts you one step ahead.
