Background check on Canadian citizen
Looking for recommendations on how to screen a Canadian citizen for my property in Florida. I usually use avail.co or Zillow, but He does not have a SSN so he cannot complete my application for a background check. Can someone recommend a website so I can screen him? Please & thanks :)

Non US Citizens need to have lawful authority from USA to be here. I would do the following, at a minimum:
-request that he complete your rental application (hopefully you have a thorough application),
-request identification documents (government-issued),
-require that he provide you with proof of his visa status and the authorized length of stay,
-verify his employment, income, and financial stability, and
-contact his previous landlords for references.
If he cannot satisfy these application requirements, do not approve.

I am a US citizen and a permanent resident of Canada. Passport allows you to be in the country for 6 months. Usually that serves as your VISA if you aren't in the States on a work permit, study permit etc. Have the potential tenant get you a background check from RCMP along with references. If he/she is there on a work permit or study permit I would ask for that paperwork including job letter and/or acceptance letter to school.
