Holding out for a qualified tenant

We had one of our properties up for rent and it took 42 days to find a qualified tenant. I was starting to consider lowering my standards for qualifications and I’m glad I didn’t. We held out and found very good tenants. It doesn’t pay to lower our standards. Getting the wrong tenant in can be very costly.

Has anyone else been experiencing a larger pool of under-qualified applicants these days?
