Looking for Class A-B neighborhood around Phoenix

Hello All,

Thank you in advance for the help!

My mom is considering moving to Arizona where it is warmer than up here in Michigan, (in Metro Detroit Josh Dorkin).

She's looking for a middle class neighborhood. Can any Arizonans identify some cities around Phoenix that she could start her search?

Something like the Edgewater of Chicago or the Oakland County of Detroit, or the...I don't know many other comparisons. But a place that is easily safe, newer neighborhood, 2000 square foot house, up to 40 minutes from Phoenix is fine.

Thank you Bigger Pockets community!

@Alexander Krasuski Many of the Phoenix areas could offer what you describe. I'm a bit partial to the SE Valley suburbs of Chandler, Gilbert, QueenCreek and San Tan Valley. They are newer, crime is relatively low, roads are great, a reasonable commute to the airports, lots of medical choices, shopping etc.

Queen Creek and San Tan Valley are going to be a little more affordable and also a little further out. Some love being further out from the hustle and bustle and others don't.

We live in SE Gilbert and love it! Absolutely a nice middle-class area.

Happy to answer further questions!
