Room by Room in Florida

Hello! Are room by room rentals permitted in Tallahassee? If so, what is the maximum number of unrelated persons permitted in a single family residence? Does anyone here have experience with this strategy in this market?

Hey there, renting by the room is allowed in Tallahassee. It's pretty common with the large student population we have here. The City allows up to 3 adults to live together without any issues. Four adults and up and it becomes subject to the "Rooming House Ordinance." Not sure if the link will work. If not you can Google "Tallahassee Rooming House Ordinance." It should be the first one that comes up.

I've been House Hacking since 2012 where I rented out my spare bedrooms. I also rent by the room in the rental units I own but they are only 3 bedrooms so again I haven't run into any issues.
