My first deal!

I cannot emphasize the importance of networking in the local REI scene. It would be borderline lying to say I did my own first deal because I leaned on so many others for help. I had no idea what I was doing, all I knew was that I bought a book on wholeselling, I took some savings bought some signs and started planting them so that made me a wholeseller. I was getting a lot of calls and wasting a lot of time because I didn't know what to ask and I was literally looking at every house that someone called me about. But through the power of networking and just talking to people, I was able to get a list of questions to ask and find out which houses and what areas are worth taking a look at. I even got my contracts from someone I spoke with because they believed I could bring them a deal! And then it actually happened, I found a deal, and bought it to the attention of the person who gave me the contract. They told me if I could lock up the deal around this price they would buy it. Well, long story short, I ended up going to the seller locking it up and wholeselling my first deal. I could not have done it without the help of other real estate investors. So if your an investor and you are helping out newbies like myself, THANK YOU!!!
