Real Estate Rental Accounting

Hi,

Does anyone have a sample excel sheet with book keeping or accounting for someone that is starting up with rental properties. Basically what I am looking for is something like a detailed real estate balance sheet.

I researched this in much detail a few years ago when legitimizing my RE business. If you have numerous properties, need detailed accounting for each, and use a CPA, I would go with Quickbooks. It is a pain, and cost money each month. If you are not yet to the point which I described, I would use Stessa (Stessa.com). It is free (or at least was) and seems very simple and intuitive.
