Family cabin that is short term rentable

Heather Hudson
Posted

Investment Info:

Single-family residence buy & hold investment.

Purchase price: $220,000
Cash invested: $90,000

Family cabin that I purchased and am remodeling it to be a short term rental.

What made you interested in investing in this type of deal?

My father and his siblings were ready to sell and the property has been in the family over 60 years. I didn't want it sold out of family and it is in a nice area that should do well as a short term rental.

How did you finance this deal?

Mortgage

How did you add value to the deal?

I fully remodeled it. Increased the size of both bathrooms and added bedrooms.
