Anyone used Calligraphr for handwritten fonts?

I stumbled across www.calligraphr.com when researching how to convert my own handwriting into fonts. It looks promising, especially the character randomization, which allows you to upload 15 variations of each letter, so it looks more realistic.

Does anyone have experience using this for direct mail?

@Sheena Tiller Yes you can with google docs. It's an add-on with Google sheets called Autocrat.

Under Google sheets top bar, there's an addon button. Click that, click get add ons and find autocrat.

@Sheena Tiller I'm not sure. I ended up using a company called Handwyytten to write cards. They have a machine that writes them using a real pen. Their pricing is a bit expensive if you're mass mailing to thousands of people though. I was able to decrease the price by about $1 each by speaking to their sales team to buy credits in bulk.

@Michael McKay For evictions, I always recommend showing empathy toward the landlord. Working your language to get on their side, but show them that you are well fit to handle bad tenants.

Where we work, in Texas, it only takes 3-4 weeks from file to eviction, if everything goes smoothly, so you'll want to ensure they continue their process and don't let it go. Ideal to take over the property tenant free!

Our response rate will go anywhere from 3-6%. We sent postcards every single week, between 80-150. We are hitting them the second they file. So they are getting out postcard within a week of them filing. This way the "sting" of that eviction is still fresh in their mind.

@Matt McConkey Got it. I was actually planning to go after the eviction niche. In my area (CT), I can find all the housing court records online, so it's fairly easy to build a database.

Any tips? Would you be open to sharing what your post cards look like? I won't copy them, but could use some inspiration to let my designer know how they look.

What type of response rate are you seeing? How often are you sending the post cards to the same people and at what stage of the eviction process are you reaching out to landlords?

@Michael McKay When it comes to postcards, we use good old-fashioned hand writing. We only mail to special niches of motivated sellers (evictions), so we're not sending out thousands of postcards a month. We have pre-printed postcards and areas we fill in the person's name, mailing address and the address in question.
