Hey guys I'm looking for homeowners insurance on a rental property in Houston. Can anyone make any recommendations? Also I'm a newbie so any advice on what kind of policy would help too.

What area of Houston is your property? Insurance in Harris, Fort Bend, and Galveston county can be expensive especially if you have to have flood insurance.
I have a good agent if you want, I use actual cash value policies (as opposed to replacement cost value where depreciation is not taken out on payouts) with a rider for vandalism, accidental water discharge and liability coverage among other things. You can go cheaper if you like, but I like the security.
