Is it Taboo to ask an RA to recieve MLS emails?

Hello! My name is Brittany Rosemond and I am based out of Nashville,Tn. I listened to the Bigger Pockets Webinar: Multifamily on October 24th and took the first step... Contacting a RA to receive automatic emails from the MLS for Multifamily. I reached out to 4 Real estate agents that I am somewhat familar with and it seems they’re hesitant. Is it something I am doing wrong? How should I go about getting this first step done? Having a RA put me on a email list. Below is how I asked... I am working as a wholesaler. I am new to it and wanted to know if you could put me on an automatic email list from the MLS for single family homes and multifamily in Nashville/Murfreesboro area?

What is there for them? 

You should state the budget that you have or have not been approved for loans. Many will interview you wanting to help you . Most prefer you sign an agreement what ever property identified they want to represent you.
