I'm look for investors in the Lewiston/Auburn area for advice, etc. I'm interested in rehabbing and acquiring rental properties. my biggest goal in the short term is to generate enough profit annually to walk away from my regular full time job so I can pursue real estate on a full time basis. Who's out there?

As a new investor, the Lewiston/Auburn area scares me. I was attracted to it at first because the apartment buildings are dirt cheap, but I'm afraid there is way too much inventory. Just looking at google street view, you can see it's nothing but apartment buildings down many streets.
I'm mostly looking for someone who lives close by that I can connect with that maybe I can work with and learn a few things along the way. I'm not limiting myself to Lewiston/Auburn for investing.
