Contractor rehab pricing in Houston, TX

Posted

Hi everyone,

I was hoping to get insight on price ranges for certain renovations in my area, Houston, TX. I received a quote from 3 different GC now and the rehab prices seem a bit high. I am looking to invest in properties to BRRRR and wanted to know if maybe I'm reaching out to more expensive GC's and if anyone has referrals on GC's they have used that does a good job at a reasonable price?

The quotes I received from these 3 companies were all similar and as follows:

$7,000-8,000 - Tub shower renovation: Replace tub, redo shower tiles with 6 inch white subway tiles. No new Hardware. Redo the plumbing that is connected to the shower head and faucet.

$19,000 - Flooring: 2,100 sq ft home. Remove current tile flooring from whole home (excluding 4 bedrooms), leveling and installing LVP.

Do these prices sound reasonable for this area? Can someone assist with price ranges for this area?
