Tenants finding your blog?

Question

I would really like to begin keeping up with my blog on BP or a 3rd party site. However, I was wondering if anyone that keeps a blog or posts on here quite a bit has had a tenant look into it? I don't think it would be a big problem or anything, I just don't want a tenant to possibly see my growth, pains and profits of my business if they're spoken about. I also might want to tell tenant stories for help, etc. Has anyone had any experience or issues with this?

@Jon Klaus you have over 7000 BP posts and I have over 9000 that they would have to read through; unlikely to happen. Just avoid being overly specific as

Some tenants Google their landlords. Do they find good things?  Make sure they do.  If you have sensitive, specific tenant questions or scenarios, post under the BP Pro forum.  Only Pro/Plus members can access it.  A good reason to upgrade to Pro or Plus.

I can think of two scenerios that could be problematic.

You started a thread asking advice on strategy on a potential deal and you mentioned your bottom line and tour buyer/seller or their agent happened to see your post.

You post about a situation about a tenant, or an applicant, and in reading your post they know you are not going to renew their lease or you might be evicting them, hence escalating the problem.

It really doesn't matter if a tenant knows how much I bought a house for.  In fact, after I bought one of my houses, it came with a tenant and the tenant asked me how much I paid for it.  I told her and she wished she had bought it.  But that was the end of it.

I think if a landlord is above board it should not matter if a tenant found your blog.

I have asked an almost identical question before and have had the same concern.

I guess I just decided that "it is what it is" and I won't make it overly obvious that I'm writing the blog. My blog only has my first name and last initial, so a tenant would only make the connection if they recognize the picture of the house they live in or found my picture/last name here in BP. In any event, I'm not too worried about it anymore.

You could always hide your picture and your last name if you think it would impact business.
