Teamwork Makes the Dream Work

Hi everybody- One of my goals this year is to build/join a team of high character individuals in the business (agents and brokers, local lenders, attorney, CPA, contractors, property management, and so on...)

As my wife and I expand we want to establish relationships rather than using people to accomplish singular projects. We are both former DI student-athletes competing in team sports (football & lacrosse). We value teamwork and know how important it is to surround ourselves with different skillsets.

One of our challenges has been how new we are to the area that we live in (Greater Binghamton). We are new here, with no family or connections so sometimes it is hard to decipher who is who. We enjoy the challenge and it's definitely interesting but would like some guidance.

I want to ask those of you with experience, how did you go about building a team of people that you can lean on in your business?
